Edward E. Hanna died a this home, 802 Lane Avenue at 3:40 o'clock Friday morning of heart strain after having been ill since January of this year. Mr. Hanna was born near Yountsville Sept 19, 1845 the son of Wiliam G. and Jane Walden Hanna. He married Alice Parker, daughter of Dr. John Parker of Mellott Nov 25, 1889. He came to Crawfordsville in 1871, grew up in this city, attended the public schools and for a short time was a student at Wabash College. He was a highly respected citizen and member of the Masons and Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by his wife, a son, Harold A. Hanna of this city and one grandchild, Betty Maxine Hanna and his sister, Miss Nancy A. Hanna of this city. The family requests friends refrain from sending flowers to the funeral which will be announced later.

Crawfordsville – Edward E. Hanna is dead after a year’s illness of heart disease. He had been a resident of this city since 1871. He was graduated from Wabash College. He leaves his widow and one son, Harold Hanna.
